Below is the first political post in the WordPress version of The Jeffersonian:

Nancy Pelosi does not provide good leadership for the House of Representatives. She is too partisan. The Speaker of the House should try to lead the entire institution, not only the members of her own party. She should rely on the House Majority Leader to lead the members of her party.

The 2010 congressional elections could not have been a happy moment for Ms. Pelosi.

Nancy Pelosi’s leadership in the House of Representatives, both as Speaker and as minority leader since 2010, helps us analyze questions of polarization in the legislative branch.

In publication since 2002, The Jeffersonian has produced several collections of essays on politics. To learn about these books, and their author, visit Dr. G’s Writing Workshop.
