You already know this book, Infamy, started as a bibliographical project. You know that because I reported that right at the beginning of my last post. The decade after 9/11 was an interesting decade that way. As the early work on the 9/11 crimes appeared, we also saw an enormous amount of high quality work on Kennedy’s murder come out. The 9/11 research had to start from scratch, whereas the Kennedy research had a lot of material and analysis to build on. Infamy takes advantage of this juxtaposition – initial research next to more mature work – to analyze the way we think about political crimes and how we solve them.
North Tower disappears.
This list of books about 9/11 and related issues is necessarily shorter than the list of books on JFK. I hope in 2051, the catalog of high quality work on 9/11 equals that for the Kennedy assassination.
