We have security theater, congressional hearings theater, protest theater, theater theater, and now shutdown theater.
One decision is easy to make: ask for more money to maintain and supply the prisons, build the wall, and train new officers. We have to keep the developing police state in the southwest moving forward.
Mob behavior does not display discernment. That is why I say: examine yourself, settle down, love your opponents. As Martin Luther King said, “we must learn to live together as brothers, or we will perish together as fools.”
We admire athletes, men and women, who push through pain during an athletic contest in order to win. Why would we admire only women who have this quality of fortitude, but say that men who show mental toughness to endure pain are creatures to be pitied because they adhere to traditional masculinity?
Here in the West, we do claim the authoritative weight of scientific reasoning, sometimes for conclusions that have nothing to do with science.
They apparently have a savior complex: internally they justify any action or policy, no matter how shamelessly anti-republican, if it helps save the republic.
Do Democrats think their current strategy will help them win the next election? We will see whether they miscalculated.
